Some summer happenings...

It has been too long since I have updated this! But we have been having a great summer so far and have so much more to come!! :)

Ava had an awesome birthday! On her actual birthday we went out to dinner with my mom and us and opened a few of her gifts from us. It was so much fun!

Then on the 26th we had her birthday party and had a BBQ for our family and friends. It was so wonderful!!! We were overwhelmed by the amount of love and support our friends showed us. We are so thankful for each of you! I was so busy getting things going and visiting with our beautiful guests I forgot to get pictures of everything :( I have really been kicking myself for this but here are a few pictures we do have (thankfully one of my friends had brought her nice camera and captured the cake smoosh and opening gifts)

Here are the cupcakes I made (or 1 plate of the cupcakes I made). I made little pinwheels for each one :)

Here is Ava's cupcake and candle :) She wasn't too sure about the whole singing thing but loved her cupcake! I also made her ribbon thing for her high chair. Like I said I'm really bummed I did not get more pictures. I also made a super cute banner but don't have a picture of that either :/ Oh well! Always next year!

Opening gifts :) Grayson was a huge help and really helped keep the gifts moving fast so she didn't get bored and fussy. She did great though sitting on my lap and checking things out :) But really she just loved having so many fun people at our house at one time!

On Father's Day we went up to Grimes Creek after church and had soooooo much fun!! It was pretty hot but it was so fun to get Bella out and was Ava's 1st time in the mountains where she could actually play :)

She absolutely LOVED the water and the sandy beach!!! She could not get enough of them! It was so much fun to watch her splash and play and explore :)

Ok this post is getting really long so I'm going to make the other things short and sweet:

We got a little kiddie pool this year for out back and she likes it for the most part, but gets bored after a few minutes and would rather go move around and play haha. We set it up with the sprinkler the other day next to the pool and that made it more fun for her :) She goes crazy in the big pool though!! We have taken her twice to a big pool this summer and she LOVES it!! Jumps off the side and kicks and swims until she is so tired and cold she can't move! It's so wonderful!

Grammy and Poppi moved to Seattle about a month or so ago and we have gotten to Skype (God bless the inventors of Skype!!!) with them several times. Ava loves being able to see Grammy but has a hard time that she can't play or touch her. But we are thankful we are able to see them this way! :)

Our little daredevil has no fear! And is now into climbing things! (thankfully not out of her crib at all yet...I will enjoy this while it lasts haha)

We were cleaning out the garage and found her walker and she just crawled right in and as you can see she got a little stuck! haha

We hope all of you are having a fantastic summer!! Ava starts swimming lessons next week which will be so much fun! It will give us an excuse to go swimming every day!! :)
