A much needed update...

Oh my word it has been a long time since I have updated the 'ol blog! So here is a recap of our fall and winter! I though I should probably get an update done before baby boy arrives in the next month.

We went with our good friends to the pumpkin patch at Linder Farms for a fun night of picking pumpkins and letting the girls play.It was such a great time and it was so fun to watch Ava just run and run from pumpkin to pumpkin! :)

Grandma and Grandpa Heller were so AMAZING this year and came and picked all of our grapes and took them home and juiced them for us!! It was such a HUGE help to me this year. I wasn't sure how I was going to get them all done by myself. We usually get around 100 jars, this year I think she got around 75, we just didn't have the same harvest as normal but still a great blessing :)

Just before Halloween Grammy and Poppy made a visit, this was their holiday visit since we weren't sure what the weather would be like around the holidays and if they would even be able to get here. It was such a fun time and as always we were so sad to have them leave. Ava never lets Grammy out of arms reach when she's here!!
Watching Poppy at the track

Grammy gave her her first pig tails, however they haven' really happened again because they just fall out in the car seat   :( But it's exciting for me that I can almost get her hair up lol

Our Halloween was TONS of fun! Ava was a cow and surprisingly she loved wearing the costume! We took her Daddy's work earlier in the day and then took her trick or treating around Uncle Eric's neighborhood. She was too cute and just loved the whole process of trick or treating. :) The cutest part was at one house the sweet lady had full size candy bars and she dropped her bag and said "whoa!" and then proceeded to pick one out!! HA! Jon and I were just dying laughing it and so was the lady! It was too fun!

For Thanksgiving this year we went to my grandparents place in Eastern Idaho and we had a beautiful holiday! Ava did amazing in the car, thanks to Grammy and Poppy for getting her an awesome portable DVD player as an early Christmas present! She had a great time playing with cousins and it was overall just a very beautiful holiday!

Our Christmas was wonderful! Well...other than Jon being super sick on Christmas day and spending most of it in bed, including the day after as well. But other than that we had a very blessed Christmas and were able to see lots of family but missed those who had moved away this year...you know who you are! Ava's big gift was a kitchen which she just loves! It took Jon and I almost 4 hours to put that crazy thing together Christmas Eve! Ha! We have a lot more respect for our parents now and all they put into Christmas for us! It didn't help that poor Jon was so sick and was up trying so hard to get everything ready for her in the morning. We were also able to spend Christmas Day (minus Jon sleeping at home!) with his parents and we went to his Uncle's house for a lovely dinner. A beautiful day indeed!
She was a huge help setting up the tree haha

Ooooo lights!!

Jon and I had the opportunity to do a reading at our church for Advent this year. We did ok, I'm not great about public speaking but I thought we looked sharp! :)

Ava in her Christmas dress :) She just LOVED it! She had to go look in the mirror and would spin and dance saying "pretty" as soon as she put it on :) Such a sweet little girl!

Her hilarious reindeer costume! She loved it at home but when we put it on at the family Christmas party she was mortified!!!

Christmas morning! It's safe to say, Ava was very spoiled this year!

She loved her tutu from Uncle Steve and Aunt Suzie and we have worn it to the store several times lol

Her present from Grammy and Poppy! She LOVES this thing! And is almost brave enough to ride the car down! :)

So that leaves us with the new year. 2013! We will be 38 weeks pregnant this coming week and are anxiously awaiting our little guy's arrival! However, it dawned on my yesterday as I was rushing around trying to do stuff to prepare for him and then was stopped by Ava for a hug that I need to make the best of these last couple of week of just me and sweet Ava without the interruptions of a new baby. But when he does come I think she will be a great big sister! The adjustment will be tough but we can't wait to meet him and embrace him into our little growing family!
